. My Journal .

NOTE: I decided to have my journal temporarily password protected because some girls from my class found out about my website. I won't be emailing the password to anyone even to you since I don't want to assume that you are interested in reading my journal. So email me at me@the-protagonist.net to get your password and perhaps introduce yourself just in case your email address isn't familiar. If you do know me in real life, regardless if you are a classmate or an acquaintance or what, I didn't write this for you to read. Therefore, kindly click the back button and go somewhere else.

"The Protagonist" is my online journal and has been in existence since 1996. This is the 24th version and the image to your left is Barbie Almalbis, the lead singer of a local rock band called Barbie's Cradle. I called this version "She's just the flavor of the week" (from American Hi-Fi's Flavor of the Week) because sometimes I feel that way. People like me one day and then the next day they're like, "Oh..it's you." But if I ever become a rock star or whatever when I'm older, I want to be just like Barbie. She's cool..I haven't met her in person and I have yet to see her play live but I've read some of her interviews and I found out that I could relate to her on some things. I got the picture off the October 2000 issue of PULP! magazine, by the way. And the words on the side are taken from the chorus of Linger by The Cranberries, one of my favorite songs at the moment. I'm such a music-lover. ;)

Before reading my entries, please read my disclaimer and excuses:

"The opinions expressed in this site are the author's alone. Readers are reminded that what they read is not what they get, and that the message these entries attempt to be portraying may be the exact opposite of what the author appears to be saying. This is what is known as "sarcasm" or "irony". If the reader chooses to interpret this journal on a purely literal level, her/his understanding of its contents may be different from what the author intends. Therefore while the sarcastically-challenged may infer that the author is precocious, cocky and mainstream, she may actually be polite, respectful of the right to free speech no matter how vapid the speaker may be, or simply not given to arguing with the defenseless.

The author is well aware that it is the readers who make her online journal possible--she thanks them and prays that their lives are more exciting than the stuff she writes. After all, it's only a journal."

You may now proceed here.

-- Enjoy!--
