The Protagonist Community Message Boards (ikonboards since October 2000) a lot have been asking me how i customized my ikonboard (version 2.1.9) http://boards.the-protagonist.net (white background), so here it goes. I hope I remembered everything . so, before anything else, back up 2 files :ikon.lib and ikonboard.cgi this is what i did for my current layout A. Go to admincenter, set-up styles, Board top menu set-up change to 1. main header background color = #ffffff 2. main header border color = #ffffff 3. background color for the menu strip = #ffffff B. Remove the logo on the left (main page) 1. back up your ikonboard.cgi now , open ikonboard.cgi 2. look for this (use search) and delete C. to put logo on the main page with the map -go to admincenter, edit board template just center your image logo and the map before this $ikonboard_main, so that it looks like this:

$ikonboard_main D. if you have an image map and want to remove the Register | Profile | Log-in | Lost Password | Active Users | Help | Search -open ikon.lib -delete this

E. to remove the active/visited red links in the help menu and posts 1. backup your ikon.lib now 2. open ikon.lib and use the search function in your notepad to look for this;
