Title: From Kiyone with love and squalor
Mood/s: restless
Quote: " i think i can; i'm big enough to be a man"- Hole, Be a Man

I can't believe I am going to wake up early in order to go to school on a Saturday. I can't believe Stephen and Alex went on a gimmick without me. I can't believe I'm studying on a Friday night. Most of all, I can't believe that my Saturday-night gimmick was cancelled. See, my ancient, conservative-type great-aunt invited us to a dinner party and the whole family has to be present. Sure, it's free food, but I'm gaining weight so where's the fun in that. I don't really mind going to the dinner party but I was sorta looking forward to a night with Dina and Fright Park. Oh well, I can always make Stephen and Alex go with me to Fright Park after I get back from my trip.

I changed my radio station. I used to listen to RX 93.1, which is a pop station. Strange someone anti-pop like me would listen to a pop-station but RX has the coolest promos and they really make sure that the listeners participate by having surveys and stuff. I even got to call and go on air twice. The only problem is, it is a pop station and they usually play ballads and (yuck) boy bands. It's rare that they play alternative music and even rarer, rock. I swear, if I hear Show me the meaning of being lonely one more time, I will shoot the radio. Anyway, I told my friend Annie about my wee radio station problem and she told me to listen to NU 107 which is a rock/alternative station. So I listened to it while I did my Philippine History reviewer and gosh, I like that station. They play Garbage, Hole (I'm beginning to become a fan), Greyhound, Korn and all the rock groups I like that aren't played in RX. And the best thing is, no boy bands! No mushy ballads! Yeah! Sure, the DJs are a bit boring, but you listen to the radio for the songs, not for the DJs. Oh well, I'll probably still call to go on air in RX to greet my friends but I guess I'll be tuning in to NU most of the time now. Because of that, I added Hole's CD to my Christmas wish list (hint, hint).

Casey gave me the mp3 link a week ago, of Hole's Be a Man and I've been listening to it ever since. I love it! And speaking of Casey, he finally revived his journal which isn't surprising cause he's one great expressive writer .His fingers will always itch to write and his mouth won't stop talking. So rant and rave!

I went to my sister's choir concert last night. Three words: I regret quitting. Actually, I've seen better concerts but hey, it looked like they had a lot of fun during rehearsals and stuff. Maybe the reason why the choir wasn't so good was because I wasn't there (to lead the soprano 2). Anyway, not only was rehearsals fun (so my sister says) but there were lots of girly-girls from the other choirs to start fights with (that would've been so much fun), a few guys to crush on, and tons of coke. That's the reason why I quit, cause I wouldn't be able to take coke and ice cream. Anyway, I was so surprised when my sister told me the other night that everyone, including the parents and the choir conductor, keep asking her why I quit, where I was, etc. The choir conductor wants me to join the Europe tour for summer 2000 (which I want to but can't). How sweet. I thought that nobody would notice I was even gone--oh, how wrong I was. Everyone (except probably Lester, I think he hates me cuz he talks to all the girls except me) actually missed me! I was so touched that I ran to their dressing room during the intermission. I was nearly knocked over by the flurry of hugs everyone was giving me. I think last night was one of the best nights I ever had. I've never felt so wanted and needed in a long time. It made me feel good.

One disappointing thing, though: I didn't see Marina. My sister said she was singing for the Chiang Kai Shek chorale, but I didn't see her. Damn! And I've been practicing spilling Coke on people's heads too. Oh well.

(Skip this paragraph if you want, it's all girly talk.) Guess what, Kristel and I were able to three-way Kali, CK's best friend. We used aliases, of course; it would be too embarassing to use our real names. Kali's this big-time jock in his school and we thought he'd be a snob but he turned out to be really nice and talkative. We actually talked for an hour; the longest conversation I had over the phone with a (sorta) complete stranger. Kali's so nice, he even offered to give me some information about CK, since Kristel told him I had a crush on him. CK's birthday is on April 11, 1982 which makes him seventeen (I'll make sure I'll send him something on his eighteenth birthday), and he's got a driver's license (in the Philippines, you get your driver's license when you're eighteen). He doesn't have his own car though, but who cares? He's perfect without it already. Anyway, CK's in Baguio at the moment because of a basketball something-or-other (he's team captain of the basketball varsity team), which is why I haven't seen him all week. He'll be back on Sunday. Darn! CK, hurry up and come back, I miss gazing into your perfect eyes already. As long as I can't have or find my love, I can keep on crushin till I'm crushed!

Gotta get back to Philippine History. Wish me luck in finding a Celebrity Skin mp3 and in my exams tomorrow. 'Night!
