Date: January 2, 2000 Time: 9:27 p.m. Title: You're going to like me Mood/s: refreshed Quote: "Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability." -John Wooden Today was good. I went to the Fort Carnival this evening with my parents because they wanted to see it before it closed in a few days. I got to ride Chaos twice, which was cool. My chicken-wuss sister road Chaos with me during my second time and to my surprise, she actually liked it. There weren't too many cute guys in The Fort this evening; I saw one who was riding Chaos alone and I wanted to take the car next to him but my sister dragged me away. Damn. I'm so bummed I can't watch Tenchi Muyo anymore except on Fridays. Tenchi is at 4:30 and I arrive home at five. Sucks. Samurai X: The Movie is also showing in HBO tomorrow and it's too bad I can't watch. But Annie has the video and I'll see if I borrow it from her. For some weird reason, I am so totally unsuccessful when it comes to non-written projects. I'm okay with oral projects I guess but I totally suck with this thing called art and lack this thing called creativity, which is bad. My CLE teacher gave us a project to do over Christmas break (what a bitch) and fortunately, Glyka said she wanted to be my partner. But unfortunately, we weren't able to meet during Christmas break so we split the work among ourselves and hoped for the best. I'm supposed to do the first half of the Ten Commandments, and it involved coffee and fire (long story). Anyway, not only did my room reek of smoke for half an hour but my project didn't exactly turn out to be, well, a work of art. Sucks! I hope Glyka won't be too pissed when she sees it, and so with my CLE teacher. I thought I should let you guys know that an anime is not the same as a cartoon. Uh-uh. Okay, it's animated, which makes it almost the same. But take note of the huge eyes, the colorful hair and the high-pitched voices. Only anime has that. Think Sailormoon and Pokemon. It's hard for anyone to understand anime if you haven't actually watched one, so I guess I really can't blame you. Tomorrow is the start of the fourth and last quarter of the school year (three months till summer break!). I'm still thinking about moving to Stephen's school and I've decided to take the entrance exam, then wait and see what happens. If they don't accept me, fine, but if they do, then I'll be thinking some more. This is my last chance to get better grades, and I hope I won't screw up this time.
