Title: Eyes on me
Mood: annoyed

I've decided to quit playing Final Fantasy VIII (FF8) for a while for the reason that I don't understand the card game in there called Triple Triad. It's bullshit, man! That stupid card game that has an even more stupid name is ruining the entire game for me. Stephen taught me how to play that game today for the third time but I still don't fricking understand it. Even its significance is totally alien for me. I mean, what the hell do you need a card game for when you've already got monsters and enemies to worry about? So I guess I'll just let my FF8 cds rest in my cd rack for the meantime and just concentrate on finishing Clock Tower II.

I think my Filipino teacher is a bitch. Really. I used to like her before but now I think she is just plain discouraging. She gave out the second hardest project for me to do this quarter: I have to make a HUGE drawing representing a certain chapter in Ibong Adarna. Screw her! I hate drawing! And this time, I'm a hopeless case. I can't ask Stephen to do it for me cause for one, I'm being selfish and two, he's probably got a lot to worry about without me asking him to do my project for me. I'd rather not do the project but I really, really need the grade and besides, I won't be able to get the cellphone if my grades are low. And I need that cellphone because my sister is acting all stupid again and keeps on texting her stupid friends using my phone. Plus, I really hope that the freshmen team will win this cheerleading competition cause my stupid teacher says sarcastic stuff like, "The freshmen batch is practicing real hard for the cheerleading competition because they haven't done anything at all." Screw her once again! She just thinks we haven't done anything because we're doing our rehearsals in secret. God, I hate it when teachers think they can get away with being mean and sarcastic to their students because they're far more superior and older than us. What's worse, we students can't even be mean and sarcastic back to them. Well, that's okay Lauryn, you can do it. After all, you've got only two months left before you're home free.

I'm beginning to feel a tad bit depressed about this whole moving thing. Since I'll be living like, an hour away from the city, I won't be able to go on weekend gimmicks and stuff anymore. I'll just be stuck at home with no one to talk to. I doubt there will be anyone around who'll be worth hanging out with. Nothing will take the place of my friends.

I can't believe that I'm going to turn fourteen in two months. Finally, Stephen will stop bugging me about being the youngest in the group cause I'll be as old as Chris. Chris will turn fifteen in July but what the hell. I think fourteen is a glorious age. Really. I mean, it's definitely a tad better than being thirteen. When you're thirteen, you're stereotyped as being obsessed with clothes and boys, and older people think you're not worth talking to because of that stereotype. I know it sucks, but I can't help falling for every cute guy I see. But for heaven's sake, I'm not an ordinary thirteen year old! When I mentioned to Maan that I couldn't wait to turn fourteen in March, she's like, "You're only thirteen?!" I said, "Yeah, didn't you know?" And she goes, "I can't believe it. I always thought you were older than me cause you acted like it. This is so amazing!" Wow. So I guess that only concludes one thing: my physical age is thirteen, but my mental age is fourteen . If only I was a few inches taller, maybe I could get away with looking fourteen. Now, I don't know about my emotional age when it comes to love cause when you're in love you act weird. Isn't this true for all ages, teens and what-nots?

Guess what, there's a fourteen-year old guy who stabbed and killed his yaya (maid/nanny) because she wouldn't let him play FF8 in his PlayStation. See, he was grounded from playing it by his grandfather and he tried to bribe the nanny so he could play but she didn't let him, so he stabbed her with a knife. In the local TV news tonight, they showed a feature on this boy and the background music was from FF8. Wow. FF8 is pretty dangerous game, eh? Guess it's a good thing I don't like it anymore.
