Title: Haven't We All
Mood: worried
Major Accomplishment Of The Day: Got an ancient phone of mine (it's got an answering machine, speed dial and most important: 3-way calling!) to work!

Today was the day of the cheerleading competition. As usual, all year levels of the high school against each other. I thought that the freshmen would win at least third place, because a) we had two pyramids, b) because the costumes looked really cute and c) because the members of the pep squad (I'm one of them!) had really loud voices. But noooooo. The seniors nabbed first place (as usual); the juniors, second place; and the sophomores, third place. Blahh shit. Just when we start to look cute, everyone else starts to look even cuter. I can't believe how the world

We're going out at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow because there's gonna be some kind of faculty meeting. Cool. Well, I'm not going to the mall or anything afterwards but it just feels good to be out of that building early.

Creepy. The phone just rang and I picked it up but there was no answer. Isn't that the way it works in slasher movies? They distract you with prank calls and stuff before they go in for the kill. Whoa. Now I'm getting goosebumps. Any moment now I expect some guy in a white mask to hurl a ice skate at my face, just like in Halloween H20. Despite the fact that the murders are a bit more original, I didn't like that movie much. The ending really sucked.

Speaking of Halloween, I'm torn between going as a gypsy and going as a punk (like last year). I think I look cool with the collar and all that eyeliner makeup but I remembered seeing some cute long skirts in the house last year and I thought Halloween would be the only time to wear them since I normally don't wear skirts. So help me decide. BTW, angela still remembers last year's Halloween disaster (refer to the archives if you don't know what I'm talking about). It's a bit embarassing for me until now but the two of us make a big laugh out of it anyway. That's the best way to deal with an embarassing moment--laugh at it.

We won't have school for the whole week next week cause the teachers and the maintenance staff will be away on a retreat. YEAH! But the week after that will be the f**king quarterly exams. BOO. I can't believe they give us a week off and instead of having fun, we'll spend that one damn week studying. Hey....just like last quarter. There was that typhoon and there wasn't any school for a week. So I guess this week, we'll have nothing but long tests. BOO.

I hope I improved my grades this quarter. I don't think I'm a bad student (I'm a bit lazy, though), and as long as I can keep my grades somewhere in the mid-80s, I think I'll be okay. My grades last quarter were sprinkled with 83s and 81s, I hope it will be more of 85s this time, and an occasional 90. Pray for me, people!
