Title: Disclaimers and Excuses
Mood/s: grouchy
Quote: "Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy"- Howard W. Newton

Ooh, this is entry number sixty-nine in this site . My favorite number. (Peter is to blame.) When I am old enough to own a car, I want the number sixty-nine spray-painted on its side.

Notice:

The opinions expressed in this journal are the author's alone. Readers are reminded that what they read is not what they get, and that the message these entries attempt to be portraying may be the exact opposite of what the author appears to be saying. This is what is known as "irony". If the reader chooses to interpret this journal on a purely literal level, her/his understanding of its contents may be different from what the author intends.

Therefore while the sarcastically-challenged may infer that the author is precocious, cocky and mainstream, she may actually be polite, respectful of the right to free speech no matter how vapid the speaker may be, or simply not given to arguing with the defenseless.

The author is well aware that it is the readers who make her online journal possible--she thanks them and prays that their lives are more exciting than the stuff she writes. After all, it's only a journal.

P.S. I wrote the above disclaimer especially for the very, very few diaryland readers ( like this 18 year old and the anonymous guestbook writers whose ISP I blocked ) who don't know what a diary is all about and how I write my entries. But thanks to link, anonymous and Alice who think otherwise.
