title: Do You Still Need My Lipstick?
feeling: tired
quote for the day: "hope is merely disappointment deferred"- Logan Pearsall Smith

Ahh, so much for the party of the century. Actually, it wasn't so bad. At choir rehearsal this morning, Lester's aunt confirmed that Cyril was definitely coming. In fact, he was bringing his friends and he was going to introduce them to me! That thrilled me, of course. I was really looking forward to tonight.

It took me an hour and a half to get ready. I had worn my favorite pair of jeans (baggy, cargo, dark denim jeans), a fitted top, my favorite pair of shoes (black Skechers that is about a year old) and my favorite nail polish. Incidentally, it was the same nail polish I wore when I went to Kansas City to visit Casey. Why didn't I see this omen then, huh? Why? Why? Why?

Cyril wasn't there when I arrived, and we were about an hour late. At first, I was like, "okay, whatever." In order to save myself from total boredom from waiting for him, I started sorting the guys into two groups: sorta ugly, sorta cute. Sorta ugly, sorta cute. After I was bored with that I opened my compact to check if I still looked presentable. That's when Lester asked me, "When you're done with that, can I borrow your lipstick?" Lester likes to pretend he's gay, but I know he isn't cause he's nuts about Apple. I laughed.

Later, Apple wanted to take a group picture of us. "Do you still need my lipstick?" I asked Lester. He glared at me and struck a girly pose and muttered something. I know he's just kidding.

Cyril didn't come. I was very disappointed. I have a consolation prize though: I eyed a cute guy, and it turned out he was the older brother of one of the younger choir members. So when Mischael (the younger bro of the cute guy) nearly ran over me at the end of the party, I told him to tell his brother that I think he's cute.

Tomorrow's my dad's birthday. He's turning forty. My sister and I made him promise to stop drinking after his birthday, and he said he would. He also said that if I'm not an alcoholic by the age of 20 (alcoholics run in the family), he'd give me a BMW. All right.
